Short Bio

Having spent her formative years in Brooklyn, NY, Ashley Fontones considers herself the product of six towns and cities.

As a student at Pratt Institute Ashley aspires to be a storyteller, being a traditional animation major.

She cites popular movements such as Japanese Ukiyo-e, 1920's Art Nouveaux, American pulp comics, and folk Mexican artwork as her influences, without imitating these styles completely.

Her works almost always seem to have either a political message or poke fun at the excessive lives of the wasteful upper class.

All that aside, Ashley just doesn't take life very seriously. =]
