Short Bio

Renate has a passion for colour, texture and attention to detail that flows throughout her art. She has combined her BA (Fine Art) with Japanese Embroidery courses while living in Japan, and a City Guilds Certificate Course in Embroidery while in London, to create soft furnishings, cushions and Quilts of art of exquisite beauty and quality.
She has exhibited in Japan, Australia and Germany, and been featured in many magazines including Belle, Machine Embroidery and Bernina Inspiration.
Renate teaches Textile Manipulation at Bernina in Switzerland and has produced many demonstration projects for Bernina using Bernina Embroidery and Cutwork Software and the latest Bernina 830 Embroidery Sewing Machine.
