Tammi was born in the U.S. Elgin Illinois and moved to Asheboro, North Carolina with her family when she was five-years old.
Although her mother has stated she began drawing earlier, Tammi remembers drawing as early as age four.
Tammi earned her Bachelor Degree at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina. To portray her distinct way of interfacing with the world and expressing with energy and feeling what she sees is her intent with each painting.
