Appleby Fair is held in Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria and is attended by Romany families who go there to meet up with old friends and conduct business. It is world famous, the largest of its kind in the world and attracts a huge gypsy gathering.
I grew up on Merseyside and now live in Bolton, Lancashire.
I gained BA(Hons) in Photography and Video at Bolton Institute and have worked as a freelance photographer for the Southport Visiter, Liverpool Echo and music and lifestyle magazines.
I currently work at The Bolton News, lecture at Bolton Community College and am studying for a MA in International Photojournalism, Documentary and Travel Photography at the University of Bolton.
